We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our growing team.
The Position: J Cote is looking for a Red Seal Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to perform field repairs on job sites, with some work performed in our shop. Our fleet is made up of: Excavators, Backhoes, Kenworth Dump trucks, Loaders, Rollers, Screeners and other assorted small trucks and tools.

- Previous experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic required
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, engine, and drivetrain systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Conduct equipment inspections and identify repair requirements
- Troubleshoot equipment issues in the shop and in the field
- Complete repairs safely and efficiently to minimize downtime
Qaulifications
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Class 1 or 3 driver’s license is an asset
- A large variety of mechanical experience
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Fabrication and welding experience is an asset
- Provide your own small tools
- Basic Computer skills is an asset
- Good communication skills
