Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization of instruments
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including adult and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software systems
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating patient information and updating treatment history
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with familiarity in pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Proficiency with dental software such as LiveDDM is preferred
- Knowledge of Scan X imaging technology is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification in Level II Dental Assisting is mandatory
- A commitment to providing compassionate patient care and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Pay: $20.43-$34.24 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
