The Hotel Grand Pacific is recruiting a Reservations & Revenue Manager to join its team. An independent luxury hotel located in Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour, we offer a more personalized experience focused on guest satisfaction. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive reservations experience and great management skills to lead a team to deliver the highest quality of service.
Description of Duties:
Maintain an organized Reservations and Service Preferred department
Screen, orientate, train and direct employees
Develop and improve service delivery standards through ongoing training
Create and implement strategies to manipulate revenue sources
Create and implement strategies to maximize hotel occupancy and average daily rate
Participate in the development of departmental strategies that support achievement of the hotel’s goals
Develop and maintain effective communication with all guests
Address employee and guest concerns in accordance with hotel standards
Process and handle all staff administrative records
Provide effective leadership to all employees
Prepare a yearly budget
Required Qualifications and Abilities:
A minimum of 5 years’ Reservations experience
3 years of management experience, ideally in a union environment
Minimum 2 years of experience with revenue management
Previous experience with group bookings and contracts, extranet/inventory management and rate loading
Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated experience developing employees to achieve 5-star service
Motivating personality and excellent interpersonal skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Professional and effective verbal and written communication skills
Proven problem-solving skills
Familiar with Opera configuration & package building
Typing speed of over 50 wpm
Hospitality University Degree or Diploma strongly preferred
Available to work full-time hours
