THE OPPORTUNITY
Ambipar. is currently seeking an Emergency Response Technician (ERT) based out of the Edmonton Area. The successful individual will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, ensuring the safety of people, property, and the environment through timely and effective action.
RESPONSIBILITIES AT HAND / WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF:

Working an emergency response schedule, including after hours availability.
- Respond to emergency situations to protect people, the environment, and property from all types of accidents and emergencies.
- Working on confined space rescue related jobs, working at heights as required, and ensure rescue equipment is inspected, maintained and ready for deployment.
- Working on fire related jobs including wildland, working in remote locations, and ensure fire equipment is inspected, maintained, and ready for deployment.
- Working on hazmat related jobs, chemical transfer and packaging, spill containment and remediation, and ensure equipment is inspected, maintained, and ready for deployment.
- Working on medical related jobs, working in remote locations, and ensure medical equipment is inspected, maintained, and ready to deployment.
- Work within a team environment to complete daily task in the shop and/or on site.
- Attend and participate in internal and external worksite meetings.
- Attend and participate in regular training.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Emergency Response: 1 year (preferred)

- Valid class 5 driver's license with 6 or less demerits (required)
- EMR Level Medical Training
- NFPA 1001 or NFPA 1081
- NFPA 1006· Swiftwater Rescue
- NFPA 1072
- NFPA 1051
- H2S Alive
- Confined Space Rescue Certified

- Monday-Friday office hours·
- Day shift
- Night shift
- On-call 24/7/365 unless scheduled off
