Loewen is looking for a Field Service & Installation Technician. This unique career opportunity offers you the chance to use your diverse Loewen product knowledge and hands-on experience, your proven ability to build effective relationships and interface with customers in a positive manner, along with your demonstrated passion for ‘getting the job done’ in the Field Service and Installation areas of the business. Travel is required.

Applicants selected will be required to take part in working through a series of practical service scenarios as part of the selection process. The successful candidate will be provided with training and support as they develop the range of technical knowledge and skill required to effectively perform in this position.

Responsible to remedy escalated field issues mainly in North America
Visit job sites to repair or replace products as required
Visit dealers and job sites to provide installation and service training to Loewen customers and third party service providers
Provide customer support via phone, video call and email to explain technical details and troubleshoot product operation and performance issues
Provide parts identification and technical support to Customer Service Advisors
Schedule and coordinate travel and accommodation when required
Identify repeat, ongoing and potential service issues and suggest product changes to the Technical Support Specialist or Field Service Leader
Maintain proactive and consistent communication with customers, peers and Leaders
Use technical knowledge to provide high level service and installation seminars for our Dealers
Participate in knowledge development opportunities on an ongoing basis

Diverse product knowledge and experience
Ability to interface professionally with customers and develop solid relationships
Effective solution based problem solving skills
Capable of heavy lifting and working at heights
Solid planning and organizational skills and ability handle competing tasks
Ability to handle conflict and seek effective outcomes
Must be willing and able to travel; Overnights and ability to travel on short notice is required
Must have a valid passport and personal credit card available for use while traveling (eligible expenses will be reimbursed)
Willingness and motivation to learn both on the job or as required on your own time
Must be safety minded and detail oriented
Effective computer skills required using Microsoft Excel and Word
