Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, and home care settings. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for senior care and supporting individuals with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and dementia. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors and individuals with disabilities
- Support residents with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning resident areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Monitor residents’ health status and report any changes or concerns to supervising staff
- Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting and transfers
- Engage residents in recreational activities to promote mental and physical well-being
- Follow all safety procedures and infection control protocols, including dementia care practices when applicable
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus
- Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills and patience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
- Basic cleaning skills to maintain a clean living environment for residents
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; availability for part-time or full-time roles preferred
