Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Tutor/Grader to support educational programs and assist in student learning. This role involves providing academic assistance, grading assignments, and supporting classroom activities to ensure a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, strong communication skills, and experience working with children or in classroom settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead tutors or teachers in delivering instructional activities and supporting student engagement
- Grade assignments, tests, and homework accurately and efficiently
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to reinforce learning concepts
- Support classroom management and organization during lessons and activities
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student progress and needs
- Help prepare educational materials and resources for classroom use
- Maintain a positive and encouraging environment that fosters student confidence and motivation
Requirements
- Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or working with children is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students and educators
- Classroom experience or familiarity with educational settings is advantageous
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team
- Organized, responsible, and attentive to detail in grading and instructional support tasks
- Passion for education and helping students succeed
- Must be able to commit to scheduled hours during school or after-school programs
Pay: $16.60-$17.60 per hour
