Accounting Assistant

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, well-organized, well rounded Part-Time Accounting Assistant in our Mitchell office. This role holds the potential of becoming a Full-Time opportunity. This is a great opportunity for a highly organized, versatile, multi-tasker who wants to be part of an exciting team. The ideal candidate must have prior accounting experience processing payroll along with bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable skills. In addition, the right candidate will also possess strong interpersonal and office administration skills. Responsibilities:
Manage and execute all priority actions ensuring prompt, effective follow-ups take place and use discretion in dealing with requests from senior corporate executives on highly sensitive information.
Data entry
Accounts Payable / Receivable duties as assigned.
Bank reconciliations
Oversee paper and electronic office filing systems and record management.
Coordinate schedules and appointments as required.
Participate in/preparation of special assignments and analysis as initiated by senior leadership.
Support inventory controls

Must have skill-sets:
Minimum 1- 3 years combined Administrative Assistance, and Accounting experience.
Strong computer skills including strong in excel & other MS Office Suites;
Knowledge of Payroll and Bookkeeping functions.
Experience with inventory in a retail environment (nice to have)
Able to prioritize and multi-task in a demanding environment that changes constantly with expectations and workload.
Demonstrated ability to balance priorities that meet short and long-term objectives; uses organized and efficient work methods.

The successful candidate will be required, prior to the start of employment, to complete a mandatory Criminal Record Check and provide two (2) official pieces of Canadian photo identification.
