Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized 310T Truck and Trailer Shop Manager to oversee daily operations within our service facility in Ayr, Ontario . The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of heavy equipment maintenance and repair. This role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining safety standards across all shop activities.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy trucks, trailers. Typical repairs include, but are not limited to: engines, chassis and body components, accessories, hydraulic cylinders, brake systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, seals, wheels, and tires
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the truck and trailer repair shop, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
- Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for shop operations.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide technical guidance to technicians on complex repairs involving schematics, electrical systems, welding, HVAC systems, and mechanical components.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance logs, and shop activities for reporting purposes.
- Some on the floor work will be required
- Train and mentor staff to improve technical skills and operational efficiency.
Skills
- Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician License (Ontario)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team of technicians or mechanics.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and shop environments.

Pay: $91,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
