Vision Security is seeking a strong, organized, and solutions-driven Director of Operations to lead and oversee our security operations. This role is ideal for a professional with solid leadership experience in private security, staffing, field operations, and client service. The Director of Operations will play a key role in ensuring service quality, operational efficiency, staff accountability, and client satisfaction across multiple sites and contracts.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day security operations across assigned sites and contracts
- Manage scheduling, deployment, and coverage for guards, supervisors, and special assignments
- Supervise field teams and ensure high standards of professionalism, performance, and presentation
- Maintain strong communication with clients and respond promptly to operational needs or concerns
- Conduct site visits, quality control checks, and follow-ups with staff and clients
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of personnel
- Ensure proper incident reporting, documentation, and operational compliance
- Collaborate with senior leadership on growth, staffing strategy, and service improvements
- Help resolve urgent operational issues, last-minute staffing gaps, and client escalations
- Monitor KPIs, operational costs, and overall service delivery performance
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in operations management, preferably in the security industry
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Good knowledge of security operations, field supervision, and personnel coordination
- Valid Ontario security licence is an asset
- Access to a vehicle and ability to travel to sites as needed
- Availability to respond to urgent situations outside regular hours when required
