Ruel Concrete Ltd. is a fast-paced and reliable aggregate supply and trucking company, committed to delivering top-notch service to our clients with two locations. We’re currently seeking a highly organized and dependable Dispatcher to join our team and help keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule drivers, vehicles, or service calls efficiently
- Monitor routes and ensure timely service delivery
- Communicate with drivers and customers via phone, email and two-way radio
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities
- Handle emergency calls and re-route vehicles as needed
- Manage shop workflow and prioritize repair tasks
- Assign work to mechanics and monitor job progress
- Process and track repair requests and maintenance schedules
- Order and manage parts inventory for timely repairs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience as a dispatcher or in fleet/shop management a plus
- Basic computer skills required to manage/reply to emails, use billing program, send quotes, etc.
- Some understanding of aggregate an asset
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Proficient with dispatch, truck, trailer and equipment maintenance, or fleet management software
- Knowledge of GPS systems and local geography
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions
