Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with a range of tools and equipment to ensure high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal parts and structures, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy materials or assemblies using cranes or forklifts
- Measure dimensions accurately with calipers and other measuring tools to meet exact tolerances
- Assist in machining operations as needed to prepare parts for welding or assembly
- Fabricate ductwork, structural steel, or other components for construction or manufacturing projects
- Follow safety protocols during all welding and fabrication activities to maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and ensure quality standards are met throughout the production process
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding with aluminum an steel
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery, schematics, and assembly processes
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and basic math skills for precise measurements
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics to interpret technical drawings accurately
- Strong understanding of safety procedures
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
