McDonough | BID Canada Ltd. is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our growing team in Woodstock, New Brunswick. This position is ideal for a motivated leader with strong manufacturing experience who thrives in a fast-paced fabrication environment and is committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
The Production Supervisor will oversee daily shop floor operations, coordinate production activities, support employee development, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Experience in fabrication and heavy industrial manufacturing is considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
- Lead, coach, and develop shop floor employees while fostering a positive team environment.
- Monitor workflow, staffing, and production schedules to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, quality, and purchasing teams to support project execution.
- Promote and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct employee performance management, training, and development activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and waste reduction.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and production procedures.
- Monitor equipment utilization and coordinate maintenance requirements as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate production records.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines.
- Experience reading and interpreting production drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Working knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
Preferred
- Fabrication or heavy industrial manufacturing experience.
- Experience overseeing custom manufacturing or project-based production.
- Training in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or related disciplines.
- Trade certification or post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing shop floor environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, machinery, tools, and fabrication processes.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
- May involve standing, bending, lifting, moving heavy components, working in various positions, and working in confined spaces or at heights.
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet production deadlines.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
