Works as part of a team to ensure voting place supplies are complete and accurate.
Loads/unloads election supplies and equipment such as paper products, cardboard, equipment, boxes, furniture, etc.
Sorts, assembles and packs supplies, equipment and furniture as directed.
Sets up furniture, equipment and supplies.
Checks and verifies supplies and equipment required to ensure quality control of election products such as ballots, voters' lists and voting place supplies.
Operates and assists in the testing of election voting equipment and systems.
Operates city vehicles to deliver and pick up election supplies and equipment as directed.
Performs clerical duties such as; customer service, data input, photocopying/faxing, sorting, collating, filing etc
Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:
Experience processing, sorting and delivering supplies and equipment in a warehouse or similar environment.
Experience working in a customer service and team environment, effectively dealing with the general public and staff, responding to inquiries both in person and on the telephone.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook), including working within a Windows operating-system environment.
Must possess and be able to maintain a valid Province of Ontario, Class “G” Driver’s License and must qualify for the City’s equipment operating permit and requirement
Experience with inventory and/or asset tracking system
Experience working with voting systems and other voting technologies is an asset
You must also have:
Ability to perform inventory control including quality assurances.
Ability to lift materials repetitively weighing up to 50 lbs.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as cooperatively as part of a team.
Good organizational and multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work on multiple projects in fast-paced environment.
Ability and willingness to work in all types of weather conditions.
Good communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to travel to various work locations across the City of Toronto.
Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or shifts as necessary.
