Reist industries is seeking a Mechanical Designer to work at our facility located in Elmira Ontario. Reist Industries manufactures a line of equipment used by landscapers, municipalities, equestrian facilities, and agriculture.
Job Details
As a mechanical designer your day-to-day tasks will include
· Design and develop new products.
· Creating and maintaining engineering drawings.
· Maintaining existing product designs and drawings.
· Develop and prepare designs and drawings from preliminary concepts and sketches.
· Create, organize revise and maintain assembly instructions, manuals, and other various engineering records
· Use Autodesk Inventor and Vault from data management
· Assist shop floor with issues and questions
Requirements
· 3D CAD experience (preferably Inventor)
· Strong Mechanical Aptitude
· Strong Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques (plasma cutting, welding, forming, machining)
· Attention to detail
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Self-motivated
· Ability to work in a collaborative atmosphere
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Open to giving and receiving instructions
· Project Management skills
· Hold valid Canadian work permit, permanent residency or citizenship
Assets
· In depth knowledge of Autodesk Inventor
· In depth knowledge of Autodesk Vault
· Knowledge of Sigmanest
· Experience in metal fabrication environments
· Knowledge of hydraulics
· Agricultural background with knowledge of machinery
· Willingness to take on new tasks and challenges

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
