Diesel Specialist
Our diesel specialists diagnose, repair and maintain our customers’ diesel-powered vehicles. Responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing diesel engines and identifying mechanical and electrical malfunctions
- Conducting maintenance and inspections to locate upcoming issues
- Compliance with industry and safety regulations
- Perform complex repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and some gas-powered vehicles
- Using diagnostic equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance
- Meeting or exceeding customer expectations
- Keeping accurate records, including parts used and labour hours
- Remain up-to-date with certifications and new technology
- Interact professionally with customers
- Explain repairs to customers, including showing the customers photos of their vehicles
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team or independently
- Ability to lift heavy objects, including parts and tools
You can be an apprentice or have your 310s or 310t license. You must also have a valid driver’s license and at least three years of diesel experience.
