Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Budtender & Keyholder to join our small team! In this role, you will support the store in overseeing and executing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining standards, both in cleanliness and professionalism.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a can-do attitude and a passion for cannabis retail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be comfortable working alone in-store, as majority of shifts are staffed with one person at a time. NOTE: This role requires occasional travel to the Guelph store, so reliable transportation is essential.
Duties
- Fulfill daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Participate in consistent learning of cannabis products, terminology, and sales techniques
- Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, cash handling, inventory counts, and POS operations
- Invited to participate in brainstorming for promotional strategies to drive sales and upselling opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company, and government policies and procedures regarding safety and security
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and visually appealing store environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail cannabis sales or equivalent is preferred
- Cannsell Certification required
- Reliable Transportation (Travel between Cambridge & Guelph Locations)
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills in English
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a busy retail setting
- Experience in hospitality or customer service is an asset
