Position Summary
As a Bartender, you are responsible for providing exceptional service to guests while preparing high-quality beverages with consistency and efficiency. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and supporting both the bar and dining room teams during service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and company standards.
- Deliver friendly, engaging, and professional service to every guest.
- Recommend cocktails, wine, beer, and food pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Ensure all beverages are prepared accurately, consistently, and efficiently.
- Verify guest identification and follow all responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system.
- Support servers by preparing drinks promptly during busy service periods.
- Complete opening, closing, and side duties as assigned.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to provide seamless service.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a high-volume environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Smart Serve (or provincial responsible beverage certification) is considered an asset.
