Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our dynamic team. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to standard recipes
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing exceptional customer service
- Operate POS systems such as Lightspeed for order entry and cash handling
- Manage cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in billing and change distribution
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling regulations at all times
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service and prevent over-serving
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient bar operations during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with knowledge of the food industry standards
- ProServe certification
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Proficiency in POS systems such as Lightspeed
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing tabs accurately
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly while adhering to legal requirements and company policies
- Effective communication skills within a hospitality setting
- A personable attitude with the ability to create a welcoming environment for diverse guests
