Overview
We are seeking a skilled AZ Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation, automotive repair knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Safely operate AZ licensed commercial trucks for freight transportation across designated routes
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance records
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and verifying shipment accuracy
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other industrial machinery
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting skills preferred
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent time management skills
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
- Physical ability to lift, load, and unload freight as required
