Job Description
The Equipment and Warewash Supervisor is responsible for guiding the Ware Wash department and overall facility cleanliness of the work area.
Job Duties:
General
- Ensure all related standards and requirements set by the company, airline customers and local legislation are observed and achieved
- Adequately and properly communicate with employees on company policies and standard operating procedures to ensure a smooth operation while adhering to and enforcing of safety regulations
- Establish, maintain and adjust schedules and staff roster for supplying the equipment to the Production Department according to operational requirements
- Responsible for document control of the packing specifications and loading diagram of different airlines. Updated version must be maintained at all times
- Monitor the quality of work, and suggest changes in procedures and conditions to increase the efficiency of department and staff, ensuring all employees are properly trained for their positions
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of different departments
Ware Wash
- Ensure equipment is delivered in good condition; right quantity; right position and at the right time
- Ensure general compliance with customer specifications and HACCP regulations
- Ensure adequate and appropriate amount of airline equipment is available for operational use. Communicate proactively with airline customers and Customer Service Department for alternate solutions when problem items are found
- Develop and maintain the maintenance scheduling of all machines to ensure a smooth daily operation
- Analyze and resolve work related problems including coaching employees in solving work related problems
- Monitor environmental requirements, energy saving, production, quality assurance, chemical usage and occupational safety procedure
- Monitor flight offloading to ensure efficient truck turnaround time
Sanitation
- Monitor and ensure continuous facility cleanliness.
- Adhere to cleaning schedules to ensure the sanitation of all equipment
- Coordinate with the cleaning of coolers, freezers, warehouse, galley, docks, and trash compactor areas
- Recommend changes to improve sanitation procedures
- Ensure all sanitation logs and forms are completed in a timely manner
- Work closely with QA to improve sanitation standard
Skills and Abilities Required:
- 2 to 3 years of supervisor experience in a union environment with proven leadership abilities
- Process and production knowledge in a high volume environment is a must
- Able to guide employees, including assisting with organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
- Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Skills in the use of personal computers and related software applications
- Able to develop, plan and implement short and long term goals
- Able to use independent judgement and to manage and impart confidential information
