Kitchen Manager / Senior Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our leadership team.
This is not a fast-food, quick-service, or production kitchen management role. We are seeking a hospitality professional with a proven background leading kitchens in full-service restaurants where scratch cooking, execution, teamwork, and guest experience are top priorities.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable leading a busy service, coaching cooks, maintaining standards, and being an active presence on the line—not someone whose experience is limited to scheduling and labour management in a quick-service environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day kitchen operations during lunch, dinner, and weekend services
- Coach, develop, and hold accountable a team of cooks and supervisors
- Work alongside the team during service while maintaining quality, consistency, and pace
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and execution meet established standards
- Manage food costs, inventory, ordering, receiving, and waste control
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Build schedules and manage labour to meet business needs
- Assist with menu development, recipe execution, and seasonal features
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and front-of-house leadership
- Help foster a positive, professional, and accountable kitchen culture
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of management or senior supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant kitchen
- Experience leading teams of 10+ kitchen staff
- Strong line cooking ability across multiple stations
- Experience with inventory management, ordering, food costing, and labour management
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Proven ability to lead during high-volume service while maintaining quality and organization
This Position Is NOT a Fit If
- Your management experience is primarily in quick-service, fast-food, café, or retail food operations
- You have not worked in a scratch-cooking, full-service restaurant
- You prefer an office-based management role rather than leading from the kitchen floor
- You have limited experience managing cooks during busy lunch and dinner services

Please note: Applicants whose experience is primarily in quick-service or fast-food restaurant management are unlikely to be a fit for this position.
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
