We are looking for a full-time Precision Finishing Technician to help with detailed hand-finishing and deflashing of small silicone parts and molded components.
This role is ideal for someone with excellent hand control, patience, and attention to detail. Experience as a nail technician, lash technician, dental lab technician, jewelry maker, model maker, craftsperson, or precision assembler would be very relevant.
This is not a customer-facing salon position. The work is industrial production work that requires steady hands, consistency, and the ability to follow quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Trim and deflash small silicone gaskets and molded parts
- Use precision tools such as fine scissors, cuticle nippers, tweezers, blades, and magnification tools
- Inspect parts for excess flash, cuts, tears, deformation, or other defects
- Separate accepted parts, rejected parts, and parts needing rework
- Follow written work instructions and quality standards
- Track completed quantities and report issues with part quality
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
- Follow company safety procedures, including PPE requirements
What We Are Looking For
- Excellent attention to detail
- Very steady hands and strong fine-motor skills
- Ability to perform repetitive precision work for long periods
- Good eyesight or ability to work with magnification
- Comfortable using small hand tools
- Able to follow instructions and repeat the same process consistently
- Ability to communicate in Chinese is an asset
Relevant Experience and Assets
Experience in any of the following is an asset:
- Nail technician or manicure/detail work
- Lash extensions or brow work
- Dental lab work
- Jewelry making
- Model making or miniature painting
- Electronics assembly
- Medical device assembly
- Small parts inspection
- Silicone, rubber, plastics, or gasket production
Requirements
- Able to work full-time on site in Oakville
- Able to sit and perform detailed hand work for extended periods
- Able to wear gloves, safety glasses, and other PPE as required
- Able to follow safety and quality procedures
- Previous production or manufacturing experience is an asset, but not required if you have strong detail-work skills
Practical Skill Test
Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a paid practical skill test involving trimming or inspecting sample parts. This helps us confirm hand control, attention to detail, and ability to follow quality standards.
