Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all dishes are prepared in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up and breaking down workstations.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and utensils used in meal preparation.
