Fortek is an engineering innovation company that specializes in developing hardware and software for keyless entry applications. We offer our clients advanced customized products and installation services that include maintenance and support, as well as integration capabilities with other security systems.
We are currently looking for a new team member to fill the role of Service Technician. We are looking to bring on board someone to grow with the company in the long-run. The Service Technician will be responsible for:
- On-site and off-site service calls for hardware and software assistance and problem resolution
- Systems Assembly: printed circuit boards and controller panels assembly, procurement of electronic components.
- Installation of systems, including hardware and software, client training
- Client relationship management, including on-site visits for scoping projects and preparation of estimates
We are searching for an individual with an educational background in electronics, with excellent troubleshooting skills, handling of electronic tools and willingness to learn new technologies.
The candidate should have excellent: communication skills, oral and written. The ability to work independently and resourcefully with great enthusiasm to grow in the role and take leadership.
We want a self-starter and self-motivated individual interested in becoming a key leader within the company.
While infrequent, it may be required for the candidate to work some evenings or weekends but offer flexibility with the work schedule and the candidate can work from home.
It is required that the candidate has access to a car, with expenses covered by the company.
We are open to receiving applications for part-time but we hope to grow the role into a full-time position. Compensation based on education and experience.
