Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various construction projects, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and supporting the overall progress of construction sites. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the construction industry while contributing to high-quality building projects.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and bulldozers (training provided if needed)
- Perform paving tasks, including laying asphalt or concrete surfaces according to project specifications
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Support carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with their tasks as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assist with project execution
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Experience
- Prior construction experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific equipment operation
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Experience with paving or roadwork projects is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials or equipment as required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
