Overview
We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to read blueprints effectively. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for the final touches on construction projects, ensuring that all work meets high-quality standards and specifications. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the overall aesthetics and functionality of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Execute detailed carpentry work including trim, molding, drywall and taping, and interior finishing throughout the homes
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications.
- Perform construction estimating to assess material needs and project timelines.
- Assemble furniture and fixtures as required for various projects.
- Apply construction painting techniques to enhance the final appearance of woodwork.
- Utilize caulking techniques to seal joints and gaps for a polished finish.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of carpentry work within larger construction projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a carpenter with a focus on finish work.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints accurately.
- Experience in construction painting, siding installation, and roofing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with maintenance person tasks related to carpentry is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
