Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Building Materials Estimator who takes pride in accurate, competitive quotes and building lasting relationships with contractors, builders, and trade customers. If you have a strong understanding of construction materials, a knack for numbers, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Assisting with evaluating bid specifications and drawings
- Visiting job sites
- Analyzing and digitizing blue print drawings, specifications and other documents to prepare material cost and labour estimates for projects
- Liaise with architects, designers and job supervisors
- Prepare/assist and submits bids by deadlines
- Prepare material take-offs
- Reviews drawings and scope of work
- Control purchase orders and tracking of materials for projects
- Ensure delivery time lines are met.
What You'll Bring
- Experience with Windows, MS Office and Excel
- Able to manage multiple projects and adhere to strict timelines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with PlanSwift, MiTek or similar estimating software.
