As a Junior Software Developer, you will be involved in all aspects of the software development cycle which will enhance RPM’s R * SUITE of wealth solutions and our clients’ experience. This is a Full-Stack .Net role, with a strong emphasis on the backend (30% front-end and 70% back-end split). The ideal candidate is someone who is very strong with C# and is proficient with the following technology: Asp.net, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, SQL/Oracle, XML, Eclipse, and Visual Studios.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with technical architects and senior software developers to define and document solutions
  • Translate and create software code per specifications/technical requirements
  • Review, test and document software functionality
  • Analyze, debug and resolve defects and/or production issues
  • Effectively collaborate with business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and DBA's throughout software development life cycle

Qualifications And Experience

  • 1-2 years of software development experience (professional or internships)
  • University Degree in Computer/Software engineering and/or related discipline
  • Preferred experience C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, Oracle/SQL, RAD/Eclipse, Visual Studio, XML
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff at various levels of technical/business knowledge
  • A proactive, “service-first” attitude combined with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently on projects, with tight deadlines, under minimal supervision
  • Understanding and experience within the Wealth Management industry, preferably in banking, mutual funds (record keeping or distribution) and/or securities would be an asset
