Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver for Flatbed to join our transportation team. This role involves transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and efficiency on the road.
Duties
- Operate commercial trucks for long-distance freight transportation across various routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transit to ensure safe delivery of freight
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during trips
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, Flatbed work, or related fields preferred
- Ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshooting on trucks and trailers
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards for long-haul transportation
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various conditions
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with route planning for long-distance travel
- Must be able to pass a background check
Pay: $54,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
