The Opportunity
We are looking for a hands-on Assistant Supervisor to support our daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will help lead our team in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment, ensuring that inventory moves efficiently from receiving to shipping while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

What You’ll Do
- Oversee receiving, storage, and shipping workflows to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Delegate tasks, provide clear instructions, and support staff training to maintain high productivity and morale.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO), conduct audits, and optimize space utilization to minimize waste.
- Enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and ensure adherence to food-safety and warehouse regulations.
- Implement handling procedures to protect product integrity and resolve shipment discrepancies quickly.
- Coordinate with logistics, drivers, and internal departments to streamline warehouse flow.
What You Bring
Must-haves:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock rotation, and warehouse safety.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook).
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team under pressure.
Nice-to-haves:
- Previous experience in produce distribution or temperature-controlled environments.
- Valid Forklift certification.
- Post-secondary coursework in Supply Chain or Logistics.
This position does not require Canadian experience beyond the skills and qualifications listed above.
Work Environment:
- Active warehouse setting with varying temperatures, including cold storage areas.
- Physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Standard business hours with occasional weekends, holidays, or overtime during peak periods.
