Candidates who already have complete compliance documentation will be prioritized for upcoming shifts.

- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) - issued within the last 6 months
- 2-Step TB Test - issued within the last 6 months
- COVID-19 Vaccination Proof
- Influenza Vaccination Proof (current season)
- Food Handler Certificate
- Food Service Worker Certificate
- CPR and 1st Aid
- N95 Mask Fit Test
- WHMIS Certificate
- Worker Health & Safety Awareness (WHSA) Certificate
- Government-issued ID
- 3 Professional References

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals following standardized recipes and dietary guidelines
- Monitor food quality and safety, ensuring compliance with public health regulations
- Receive, store, and manage inventory of food and supplies
- Assist with menu planning and food preparation based on residents' dietary needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas
- Operate dishwashing equipment and assist with pot washing
- Provide courteous, respectful service to residents and staff
- Collaborate with dietary aides, PSWs, nurses, and other team members
- Adhere to infection prevention and control practices at all times
- Be available to work every other weekend
Qualifications & Requirements
- Culinary background in a Long-Term Care facility is REQUIRED
- Food Service Worker Certificate (recognized in Ontario)
- Current Food Handler Certificate
- Red Seal Certification (preferred)
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Up-to-date immunizations, including a minimum of 3 doses of COVID-19 vaccine
- 2-Step TB Test and N95 Mask Fit Test
- Physically able to meet job requirements
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Compassion, empathy, and respect for elderly residents
- Ability to provide resident-centered and culturally sensitive care
- Strong ethics and commitment to privacy and dignity of residents
- Adaptability to dynamic healthcare environments and changing needs
