Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice, for two days a week . The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist with dental procedures, and promote overall oral health. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment with a focus on patient education and comfort. The position requires a licensed Dental Hygienist committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service.
Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic treatments and other specialty services
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment
- Manage patient appointments, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service
- Support pediatric patients by creating a comfortable experience tailored to their needs
- Collaborate with the dental team to improve workflow and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental office management software is preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations
- Previous experience in dental assisting or working in a dental office setting is advantageous
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
