Job Summary – Master Grower

Our client is a privately-owned company who is looking for a qualified and experienced, Master Grower to join their team and take the lead on assisting with the license application process and developing and implementing the growing system for a Cannabis production facility in Maple Ridge, BC

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 and other incentives to be determined

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage all cultivation activities for the site
  • Assist the quality assurance team in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in compliance with the Cannabis Act and GMP
  • Implement and monitor SOPs
  • Training, supervision and guidance to ensure compliance with the Cannabis Act and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring facility safety, cleanliness and sanitation practices
  • Handling production, storage, security, safety and pest control
  • Continually monitor and manage crops to improve quality and yield
  • Ensuring site readiness for inspections
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Cannabis cultivation (preferred)
  • Experience in automated irrigation systems, pest management programs and lighting systems
  • Degree in horticulture related field or equivalent experience in commercial agriculture or horticulture
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies
  • Project and inventory management experience
  • Established organizational, strategic planning, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and knowledge of the Cannabis industry, particularly plant genetics and pathology
  • Proficiency with the Cannabis Act and/or prior regulations is an asset
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Ability to perform manual labor tasks if required

Security Clearance by Health Canada is a mandatory requirement for the successful candidate.
