Deliverables
-
Provide electrical engineering support within a nuclear generating environment, working with multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams to support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical and electrical systems.

Develop and execute engineering projects in accordance with nuclear industry regulations, standards, customer requirements, and engineering governance, supporting activities through design, commissioning, and operation.

Investigate and resolve technical issues, clarify specifications, evaluate equipment/components and materials, coordinate required engineering changes, and provide technical advice, recommendations, and developmental studies.

Develop, maintain, and update engineering procedures, operating procedures, technical documentation, processes, and standards, ensuring documentation reflects system modifications and improved operating methods.
Experience Required
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a valid Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licence in Ontario.

Strong engineering experience supporting the design, commissioning, operation, and/or maintenance of complex electrical systems, ideally within a nuclear generating station or similarly regulated power generation environment.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical problems, evaluate engineering solutions, assess components/materials, clarify technical specifications, and provide engineering recommendations.

Experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining engineering procedures, operating procedures, technical documentation, and engineering changes within a highly regulated environment.

OPG Design Engineer (DE) qualification is preferred, with prior OPG/nuclear engineering experience and familiarity with nuclear engineering standards, processes, and regulatory requirements highly desirable.
Experience Required

8+ years of experience in Project Controls, Project Management, or Project Planning & Scheduling, with direct experience supporting Ontario Power Generation (OPG) or large capital projects within nuclear, utilities, or other complex industrial environments.

Demonstrated expertise leading Front-End Planning (FEP), project scheduling, cost control, forecasting, earned value analysis, variance reporting, change management, and integrated project controls throughout the project lifecycle.

Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 (P6 Certification required) for developing resource-loaded schedules, critical path analysis, schedule optimization, baseline management, and project performance reporting.

Hands-on experience using EcoSys (required) for project cost management, forecasting, financial reconciliation, project controls reporting, and integration with enterprise project management systems, supported by advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with proven ability to support multidisciplinary project teams, monitor contractor performance, maintain schedule quality, and deliver accurate project controls information for executive decision-making.
