We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well versed in landscape maintenance, with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors on beautiful landscapes and develop skills in gardening and landscape care. This role is classified as part-time, with the role being seasonal in nature. The season typically runs from April until early December, with potential full time hours being given throughout these months. Weekend work may be requested due to inclement weather during the week, however this role is primarily done from Monday-Friday, 8:45 AM – 5 PM, with a 45 minute lunch break given.
The properties are all located within a short distance of each other, in a residential area close to Royal York & Dundas. You will be required to arrive at the work truck, in a designated location, each morning to begin the day.
Responsibilities:
-Maintain and enhance properties through weeding, pruning, clean-ups, mulch/soil and planting
-Use hand tools and power tools to perform various gardening tasks efficiently and safely
-Perform landscape maintenance including blowing, mowing, edging, trimming and leaf and debris removal
-Assist with seasonal planting/clean-ups
Requirements:
-Experience with gardening/landscape maintenance, 2+ years preferred
-Proficiency in using landscaping tools including blowers, lawn mowers, pruners, shovels, rakes, etc.
-Enjoy working outdoors and physically active
-Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
