One of our divisions, Central Ready Mix, is currently accepting applications for the following position in Lewisporte
Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Central Precast and Ready Mix is currently looking for a full time Heavy Equipment Mechanic for hire immediately. The successful candidate will be required to complete many daily tasks, including but not limited to:
- Perform routine greasing, fluid changes and component inspections on our fleet of trucks
-Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services
-Diagnose and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on our fleet of equipment.
-Perform maintenance related work as required
- Prepare documentation for work completed and inspection checklist
- Maintain a neat and tidy work space
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to applicates with previous experience and training in this field
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- A work record that demonstrates a commitment to work and good attendance
- Communicate and work well with others in a team environment.
- Must have a mechanical attitude and a desire to learn
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
