Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the health and safety of guests.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or as a cook in the food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, meal preparation, and kitchen equipment is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is required.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
