Minuteman Press Milton is looking for a dependable, creative, and detail-oriented person to join our team full-time. This hands-on position combines graphic design and artwork preparation with print production and finishing.
The successful candidate will help take customer projects from artwork through to a professionally finished product.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify artwork for business cards, brochures, flyers, signs, banners, and other printed products
- Prepare and adjust customer-supplied files using Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and Adobe Acrobat
- Review and preflight PDF files for correct sizing, bleed, resolution, fonts, and colour
- Make practical artwork corrections so files are ready for production
- Operate digital printing and finishing equipment
- Perform cutting, folding, binding, laminating, mounting, and related production work
- Inspect completed jobs for accuracy and quality
- Keep jobs organized and meet production deadlines
- Communicate with customers and team members to resolve artwork or production questions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience preparing artwork and PDF files for print production
- Good understanding of bleed, colour, resolution, fonts, and print-ready file requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
- Able to manage multiple jobs in a deadline-driven environment
- Willing to learn new equipment and production processes
- Previous print-shop, prepress, signage, or production experience is an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
