Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and motivated Dental Receptionist / Treatment Coordinator to join a new dental practice opening in Scarborough in October 2026.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients, managing a dental front desk, and helping build and grow a new practice from the beginning.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Help convert new patient inquiries into booked appointments
- Follow up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment and recommended treatment plans
- Present and explain treatment estimates and payment options
- Coordinate treatment appointments with the clinical team
- Check patients in and out
- Process patient payments and issue receipts
- Submit dental insurance claims and predeterminations
- Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and patient balances
- Manage recalls and contact overdue patients
- Maintain an organized and productive daily schedule
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Provide excellent customer service and a welcoming patient experience
- Communicate effectively with dentists, hygienists, assistants, and other team members
- Assist with front-office setup and administrative organization prior to opening
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental reception or treatment coordinator role is strongly preferred
- Experience with dental billing, insurance claims, and predeterminations is preferred
- Strong communication and telephone skills
- Comfortable discussing treatment plans, fees, and payment options with patients
- Confident and professional when following up with patients
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Friendly, positive, and patient-focused personality
- Comfortable using computers and dental practice management software
- Fluent English communication skills

We are looking for someone who can do more than simply manage the front desk. The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable, confident with patients, and comfortable helping the practice grow by maintaining a productive schedule and following up on treatment and new patient inquiries.
Position
Full-time preferred. Part-time may also be considered.
