Our Stock Room Associates are our “back of house gurus”: our Stock Room Associates ensure that our fabulous fashions are on the sales floor and ready to be sold to our fashionable customers. They receive our truck, unpack our merchandise, and get it ready for the sales floor - all in record time. Stock Associates love to compete and beat records for efficiency and garment care all while having fun and working as a team. They also support the sales floor from time to time offering garment options to our customers, locating a sizes or helping our customers navigate the store.

Overall Job Function: Responsible for keeping the stock room organized and ensuring a sense of urgency that all merchandise is placed on the sales floor in a timely and efficient manner including call-off, new production, accessories, sale and back stock

Job Responsibility including but not limited to:
Customer Service

Provides customer service throughout the store and works on the sales floor including the fitting room and cash point when the stock room responsibilities are completed

Job Knowledge

Unloads delivery truck, receives, opens and unpacks merchandise and labels merchandise with security tags per H&M standards.

Ensures the Bill of Lading and store transfer paperwork are completed correctly and in its entirety

Responsible for stocking and replenishing all merchandise to the sales floor.

Ensures knowledge of garments, display guidelines and merchandise standards and assists visual team in the set-up of activities, campaigns and promotions

Efficiency

Actively keeps registers and fitting rooms well maintained and replenished with necessary supplies

Maintains the stock room in an orderly and efficient manner, i.e. back stock, new production and call off

Team Player

Works effectively with team members to ensure the selling floor, cash point, fitting rooms and stockroom are clean and well maintained per H&M’s store standards

Adheres to H&M values and internal standards policies, and procedures contained in the H&M Employee Handbook

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
High School Degree or equivalent preferred

Prior stock room experience preferred

Must be available for a minimum of 3 weekday mornings starting at 7:00AM

Ability to lift in excess of 40 lbs.

Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull and carry items (mannequins, clothing, totes, torsos, etc.) for a short distance

Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool

Competencies:

Ability to run a cash register

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including nights and weekends

Must be able to take initiative to complete tasks and solve problems

Ability to set and meet deadlines
