Capital Paving is looking to hire an experienced Truck & Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic to join our fleet management team.
Location: 4459 Concession 7, Puslinch, ON N0B 2J0.
Start Date: Immediately.
Reporting To: Fleet & Shop Manager.
Positions Available: One (1) Full Time.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain and repair heavy-duty construction vehicles and equipment (includes trucks, trailers, large & small machinery)
· Complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner to ensure integral pieces of equipment are returned to service as soon as possible to minimize down time.
· Perform duties in our shop, yard, or construction jobsites as required.
· Document accurate, succinct, and legible records of tasks performed.
Requirements:
· Truck or Heavy Equipment Mechanic, with experience. (310T or 421A)
· 310T apprentices will be considered.
· Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair faults for diesel systems, electrical components, air brakes, hydraulic systems, engine & driveline.
· Previous experience in the construction industry and working around heavy equipment would be considered an asset.
· Valid driver’s license. AZ or DZ license would be considered an asset.
· A full set of trade-accepted tools.
· Welding and fabricating skills would be valuable assets.
· Reliable & punctual.
Employment Package:
· 10-hour shifts Monday-Friday, with the occasional opportunity for Saturday work.
· Overtime paid after 10 hours, Saturday and Sunday shifts.
· Competitive wage ($35.00-$38.00 + per hour for licensed technicians) Negotiable with skills and experience.
