Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide exceptional care and assistance to clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and possess the skills necessary to support individuals with diverse needs, including seniors and those with disabilities or dementia. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Administer medications accurately according to care plans and protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
- Support clients with mobility exercises and transfers using proper techniques
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Follow care plans meticulously, ensuring all client needs are met with compassion and professionalism
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care, is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is an advantage
- Proven caregiving skills with a focus on safety, patience, and empathy
- Familiarity with cleaning routines and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs is beneficial
- Certification or training in caregiving or related fields is a plus but not mandatory; ongoing training will be provided to support professional development
Pay: $17.91-$24.00 per hour
