Job Description

** Bilingual Required **

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Technician is responsible for providing an efficient and professional after-sales service for products and solutions supplied by the company. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assembly and disassembly, testing and configuration, and installation and support of various cash and coin handling equipment. The position will be focused on customer satisfaction by ensuring contractual obligations are met and equipment down time is limited.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out service, repair, and maintenance of all relevant system components
  • Assist with receipt and test of new equipment
  • Provide service to equipment sold and serviced by Gemsys
  • Maintain accurate and legible paperwork
  • Present a professional image at all times to internal and external customers
  • Provide technical support over the phone to customers including remote assistance and troubleshooting
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • College Technician diploma and/or minimum 2 years’ experience in a Field Service Technician role

  • A valid motor vehicle license is required (Class G) with annual abstract to maintain eligibility
  • Ability to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 50lbs

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Full-time subject to business conditions and performance
  • Generally 8:30am – 5:00pm M-F, or similar hours
  • Will require travelling to customer sites
  • Fast-paced and changing environment
