Restoration Project Manager
DKI Central Alberta is seeking an experienced Restoration Project Manager to join our team.
This position is responsible for managing residential and commercial insurance restoration projects from initial loss through completion. The successful candidate will coordinate customers, insurance professionals, trades, internal staff, budgets, documentation, and project schedules while ensuring projects are completed efficiently, professionally, and profitably.
This is a key operational role suited to someone who understands the restoration industry, is comfortable managing multiple active files, and can take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Compensation
Base Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year, depending on restoration experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability.
In addition to base salary, this position includes a profitability-based incentive plan that provides additional earning potential based on the financial performance of managed projects.
The incentive program is designed to reward strong project management, including:

- Effective labour, material, and subcontractor cost control

- Accurate estimating, supplements, and change-order management

Responsibilities
The Restoration Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing insurance restoration projects from initial assignment through final completion
- Attending loss sites and completing initial assessments
- Developing project scopes, budgets, and work plans
- Coordinating mitigation, demolition, reconstruction, contents, and specialty trades
- Scheduling internal staff, subcontractors, inspections, and material deliveries
- Maintaining communication with homeowners, commercial clients, adjusters, consultants, and other stakeholders
- Reviewing estimates, scopes, change orders, and project costs
- Monitoring job profitability, labour costs, subcontractor costs, and material expenditures
- Identifying additional or missed scope items and documenting required changes
- Preparing and managing supplements and change orders
- Ensuring projects remain on schedule and addressing delays proactively
- Reviewing project documentation, photographs, moisture records, and completion requirements
- Conducting site inspections throughout the project
- Coordinating and managing subcontractors
- Ensuring workmanship meets company standards and applicable building requirements
- Resolving customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Maintaining accurate and timely project documentation
- Working closely with production staff, estimators, administration, and management
- Participating in emergency response and large-loss operations when required
Required Experience
Previous insurance restoration experience is required.
Candidates should have:
- Experience managing water, fire, mould, or insurance reconstruction projects
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction
- Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of project scheduling and job costing
- Experience working with subcontractors and field staff
- Experience communicating with insurance adjusters, consultants, and customers
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage challenging situations and competing priorities
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- A valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
The following would be considered strong assets:
- Previous experience as a Restoration Project Manager
- Xactimate estimating experience
- Experience with Encircle or similar restoration documentation software
- IICRC certifications
- Construction management or supervisory experience
- Experience managing large-loss or commercial restoration projects
- Experience managing project budgets and profitability
- Experience negotiating scope and pricing with adjusters and consultants
