Job Overview
Face Plus is seeking 1–3 energetic and results-oriented Business Development Representatives (Merchant Acquisition) to help expand our merchant network across Metro Vancouver.
This is a field-based business development role focused on identifying, approaching, and onboarding local businesses, including medical aesthetic clinics, beauty salons, spas, wellness providers, dental clinics, and related service businesses.
You will speak directly with business owners and decision-makers, introduce the Face Plus platform, explain its value, and support qualified merchants through the onboarding process.
The ideal candidate is confident communicating with new people, comfortable with outreach and follow-up, and motivated to build experience in sales, business development, and local platform growth.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential merchant partners across Metro Vancouver.
- Conduct in-person business visits, phone outreach, emails, and follow-up communications with prospective merchants.
- Introduce Face Plus and explain how the platform can help local businesses improve visibility, reach potential customers, and promote their services.
- Build professional relationships with business owners, clinic managers, and other decision-makers.
- Qualify prospective merchants by understanding their business needs and interest in joining the platform.
- Support new merchants through the onboarding process, including profile setup, service listings, and basic account activation.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, outreach activities, merchant feedback, and onboarding progress using CRM or internal tracking tools.
- Follow up with qualified prospects and help move opportunities toward successful onboarding.
- Gather market feedback and share insights with the operations and marketing teams.
- Represent Face Plus professionally during merchant visits, meetings, and local networking opportunities.
- Work toward individual and team merchant acquisition and activation goals.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills are strong assets.
- Comfortable speaking with business owners and approaching prospective clients in person, by phone, and by email.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple leads and follow-up tasks.
- Comfortable working independently in the field while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Positive, resilient, and comfortable with outreach, follow-up, and rejection.
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, business development, hospitality, retail, community outreach, or working with local businesses is an asset, but not required.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or sales-tracking tools is an asset.
- Familiarity with the medical aesthetics, beauty, wellness, dental, or local service industry is an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Ability to travel within Metro Vancouver for merchant visits is required. A valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation are assets.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
