Job Overview
Journeyman Agricultural Equipment Technician
Farm To Field HD Repairs LTD
Didsbury, Alberta
FEEL LIKE JUST ANOTHER TIME CARD...AND NO ONE CARES?
Quick question...
When was the last time you left work thinking,
"We could have done that job way better if someone would actually listen?"
Or...
Have you ever walked into work and nobody recognizes the hard work you put in?
Maybe you've looked at a machine and thought,
"If we fix this now, it'll save the customer twenty grand next year."
And let me ask you this...when was the last time someone sat you down, cared about YOU, your future growth, and acknowledged upcoming opportunities you would be a fit for?
I'm willing to bet at one point you had a dream and a vision...and now you are stuck doing the same thing over and over again-working for bosses that don't seem to care...does this sounds like you?
If any of this resonates with you. then you are the technician we're looking for.
Farm To Field HD Repairs isn't trying to be the biggest shop.
We're trying to build one of the best agricultural equipment repair facilities around—one repair, one customer, and one technician at a time.
We specialize in major repairs on Case IH combines and agricultural equipment. Our focus is quality, efficiency and solving problems that many shops won't tackle.
We're growing, investing in better systems, expanding our team and building a business designed to support both our employees and our customers for the long term.
If you're looking for "just another job," this probably isn't the right fit.
If you're excited by improving systems, mentoring others and taking ownership, we'd like to meet you.
About the Position
This is primarily a shop-based position, with field service performed as required (approximately 35% road work).
Our goal is to complete as much work as possible in our shop where we have the right tools, equipment and support.
During harvest or emergency situations, field work becomes part of the role.
Outside of busy seasons we believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities
You will be expected to:
- Lead major repair projects from diagnosis through completion
- Perform advanced diagnostics on agricultural equipment
- Assist with mentoring apprentices and technicians
- Communicate repair findings clearly to the Estimator and Parts Manager
- Identify additional failures before they become customer breakdowns
- Maintain high quality standards
- Help improve shop efficiency and workflow
The Technician We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Takes ownership of every repair
- Thinks before replacing parts
- Solves problems logically
- Communicates professionally
- Holds themselves and others accountable
- Leaves equipment better than they found it
What Success Looks Like
Success isn't measured by who works the latest.
Success is measured by:
- Repairs completed correctly the first time
- Minimal comebacks
- Good communication
- Helping other technicians improve
- Keeping jobs moving
- Customers who trust our recommendations
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
- Overtime during busy season as required
- Primarily shop-based work
- Modern and growing facility
- Leadership opportunities as the company grows
Who This Position Is NOT For
This role is probably not a good fit if you:
- Need constant supervision
- Resist change
- Prefer doing the minimum required
- Don't enjoy working as part of a team
Why Join Farm To Field?
We're investing in people—not just equipment.
We're creating a business that our employees can be proud of and our customers can trust.
If you want to help build something exceptional instead of simply maintaining the status quo, we'd like to hear from you.
