Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and service CCTV surveillance systems, alarm panels, access control devices, sensors, and related low voltage components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to accurately execute system layouts and wiring configurations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and telecommunication equipment to complete installations efficiently and safely.
- Conduct site surveys to assess project requirements, including construction experience considerations for optimal system placement.
- Configure computer hardware and network connections to ensure reliable system operation and remote monitoring capabilities.
- Test systems thoroughly to verify proper functionality of IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, and other security devices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, system configurations, schematics, and service reports for client records and future reference.
Requirements
- Valid Low Voltage or Security Technician license with proven experience in CCTV, alarm systems, and access control installation.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with construction projects involving low voltage wiring and mechanical knowledge of security hardware.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts relevant to security systems including IP cameras and remote access setups.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, power drills, and other installation equipment necessary for secure mounting and wiring tasks.
- Electrical experience related to circuit troubleshooting, power supplies, and telecommunication infrastructure.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and follow technical instructions precisely while adhering to safety standards.
