Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a vacuum truck with trailer tanker safely and efficiently to various farm sites within the county of Lethbridge. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and a focus on customer service. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely pickups and deliveries. Our drivers are home at the end of each shift.
Duties
- Operate vacuum truck/trailer combinations within the County of Lethbridge.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload vacuum truck/trailer, ensuring proper handling and transport.
- Maintain accurate logs of loads hauled, maintenance and other measures as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding logistical opportunities and any issues that arise during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Coordinate light maintenance and repairs as needed to ensure reliability of assigned truck and trailer.
- Operate mobile equipment when necessary.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Three years of current tractor/trailer driving experience with a clean driver’s abstract to satisfy insurance requirements.
- Experience with pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience operating mobile equipment or forklifts is advantageous.
