Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the manufacture of ISO and Pallet production while maintaining high standards for safety and quality. This requires solid knowledge of high-speed manufacturing processes and the ability to engage and motivate employees

Duties and responsibilities

Production

Promote a strong safety culture where employees believe that all injuries are preventable. Investigate and prepare reports on safety (Near-Miss, FLRA and STOP), injuries and workplace hazards.
Provide manufacturing leadership to fully engage employees and foster a productive work environment.
Conduct regular toolbox meetings to provide production employees with the information they need to do their jobs. This includes communication of safety, quality and production changes, progress toward goals and overall plant performance.
Ensure employees receive training on procedures relating to safety, quality and production. Conduct training, cross-training and rotation of employees for product, process and employee development.
Work with ops supervisor and LH to establish formal training plan and next steps to accomplish this by end of June
Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Identify and eliminate root causes of problems and ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained. Complete weekly RC/CA reporting.
Downtime spreadsheet – (daily logbook needed)
Evolve reporting processes and metrics
Operation of equipment in a safe and productive manner.
Quality

Ensures all paperwork and spreadsheets are completed and accurate daily
Completes Monthly Inventory counts to ensure accuracy of inventory
Raw materials – production (Tim)
Collaborate with Manufacturing Clerk to ensure weekly reporting is accurate and completed
Cross-Trained as back up for Final QC testing
Management

Will perform back up duties for the Operations Manager
Payroll (needs system access)
Scheduling
Mapics approvals
Other Duties

Maintains a binder of current Role procedures
Work cooperatively with production and maintenance to identify and resolve production issues in an efficient manner and assist in the resolution of quality / production problems.
All other assigned duties
Qualifications

5+ years Leadership Experience
3+ years Forklift experience
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability.
Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation and listening) and analytical skills
Ability to flex time as required
Pass the IKO test
Requires personal vehicle
